Volunteer Activity Description

Start Date: Jan 20, 2014 1:00 PM

On MLK Day, students from Meadowdale High School, Kamiak High School and Shorewood High School will gather at Meadowdale from 1-4pm to assemble care packages for the children in the Philippines.

The students will be doing multiple activities to put these care packages together, including:

• Decorating pencil cases

• Writing cards

• Making bracelets

• Putting the donated writing utensils, cards, and bracelets into the pencil cases

On MLK Day, students will also be making signs with the quotes and acts of kindness for the 40 Days of Peace. Each day, students who practice the day’s quote and act of kindness will be entered into a raffle to win a 40 Days of Peace t-shirt.
