Growing up I've been actively involved in giving back to the community, especially during my time here at Ohio State. For quite some time now I've had a strong interest in dentistry for many reasons because it will provide everything I'm interested in: a blend between a business and medical profession, strong relationships between the faculty and their patients, and having plenty of time to give back to the community through free clinics. This opportunity to travel to Peru will allow me to gain more on-hand experience in dentistry while still serving the community!

About Us

The Ohio State University chapter of Volunteers Around the World (VAW) consists of students that are enthusiastic and committed about addressing the health disparities that currently exists in developing countries. Through close collaboration with the Non-Governmental Organization, Volunteers Around the World, our club at OSU strives towards providing rural communities in developing countries access towards dental treatment and oral hygiene, nutritional and health education.
