My greatest passion in life has been to make a positive impact on those that surround me, especially to those that need it most. I believe that it is my destiny to spread my knowledge and opportunities to the youth so that they can have aspirations and dreams growing up just like I did. I strive to accomplish this by volunteering with the inhabitants of underserved communities. I love being a part of programs like Peer Health Exchange, where I teach high schoolers who have never had a lesson about health on the importance of health education, and the Boys and Girls Club of Harlem, where I've been able to invite Harlem's youth to the City College's Gross Anatomy lab to explore the beauty of our human body. I have yet to make an impact across borders, but with your help, I will be able to express my devotion to medicine and my passion to help others by being a part of the medical brigades team that will be flying to Honduras this summer.
