As a student of Loyola Marymount University, my passion for dance and service has recently led me to the organization Movement Exchange. Movement Exchange unites dance and service through its university chapter network, international dance exchanges, and year-round dance programs. Come February 27th-March 5th, I will be traveling to Panama to donate a week of my time to empower youth and communities through dance. I will be joined by a group of my university student peers and as part of the service exchange, we will spend the week teaching dance at orphanages and at-risk youth foundations. We will also have the opportunity to take class with the University of Panama and other local dance professionals to learn local dance traditions.

By creating a safe environment for creative expression, cross-cultural understanding, and community cohesion, Movement Exchange has empowered over 6500 youth. I am so excited to be joining their efforts and spreading my passion for dance in the international setting.
