I am a senior at the University of Connecticut studying Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Public Policy and Planning. My biggest dream is to enlist in the Peace Corps after graduation to work in the Youth and Community Development sector engaging in a variety of outreach programs concerning at-risk children or youth, adult literacy, health or HIV/AIDS education, environmental awareness, and educational development.

I would like to pursue a career in International Development Policy to assist underdeveloped nations in becoming self-sufficient as well as initiating social change directed towards the observance of a person's basic human rights. My dream job would be to work for a non-profit political organization such as Amnesty International or the U.S. Agency for International Development with the opportunities to travel the world and make a difference in someone's life.
