Geneseo Winter Ecuador 2014

Abby's Message

Geneseo is up for making a change and I am excited to be a part of it. I first learned about the trip through a friend who had an amazing time working with a community in Ecuador with efforts toward reforestation and preservation of the local landscape. I have recently been working to develop my knowledge about the environment and sustainability efforts of the United States and feel that this work trip will further instill values of a sustainable partnership with this world that upholds the natural landscape that we hold dear.

Volunteer Activity Description

Contribute toward GSE's local projects: estuary research and reforestation, tropical dry forest re-vegetation and sustainable school gardens in collaboration with local students

Participate in discussion sessions about natural history, environment and culture
