One Day Challenge 2017

The One Day Challenge will be taking place on Thursday, June 1st. On that day, we challenge you to add up all the money that you spend on food and beverages and donate it to help bring food and water to villages that simply don’t have any. You will be amazed at how much of a difference your food costs for one day could make in rural Kenya. For less than 30 cents, we can provide two meals a day for a child at the school in Risa, Kenya. They currently have to walk 6km just to get clean drinking water! So you can imagine how big the impact can be!

So here’s the good news. You don’t have to imagine it. This is really happening! A few days after the One Day Challenge, a small group of volunteers from Africa Thriving are hoping on a plane to Kenya to go put your hard earned money to work. Right after we get back, we will post a video with photos of all the communities receiving their food and water that you made possible.

So that’s it! It’s that simple. The worst thing that could happen is that you go a day without food. The best thing that will happen, is that these remote villages of Kenya will not go another day without food and clean water because of your good heart.
