I am a plant genetics major here at Davis and love working with plants. This trip will give me the opportunity to teach locals in Nicaragua the practices and ideas I have learned in Davis. I find this opportunity very important because it will show me how agriculture is practiced in areas around the world and how their methods differ. It will be a great teaching experience for me but most importantly I feel it will be a great learning experience.
