The mission of Global Medical Brigades is not only about providing basic and preventative care to those who are unable to access it, but to help volunteers like myself learn more about cross-cultural health systems in relation to our own. As a future medical practitioner, I will take this perfect opportunity not only to learn more from a top down perspective of how medical resources are distributed in relation to their local and cultural context but how my passion and life-long goals fit into a future career in medicine.
