Hey everyone! I recently became a member of a new group at UNK called Volunteers Around the World (VAW). Also, I am a part of the executive board of this group at UNK. I am Clinical Chair. I will be teaching and improving people's vital taking skills through the school year to make sure they are prepared to do so while providing medical care. VAW is an organization dedicated to improving the lives of others! For two weeks during the summer of 2016, myself and some fellow UNK students will be traveling to Panama to set up medical clinics and provide free healthcare to the locals. My group and I will be traveling in the middle of May to the beginning of June! During this time, I will have the opportunity to learn how to take vitals, manage a pharmacy and the purposes of different medications, get the opportunity to shadow a physician, perform triage, and teach local children about first aid and hygiene. It is an amazing opportunity!

Any money donated will help pay the fees needed to go on my trip. These include travel and board for myself, as well as supplies and medications needed to host the clinic. My group will be hosting numerous fundraisers throughout the year, as well! Thank you in advance for you support of this amazing cause!
