Ever since a young child, I’ve dreamt of lending a helping hand to those in need. It makes me really happy to be able to put a smile on another individual’s face because I feel as though it’s a duty upon myself to help the less fortunate. I am very grateful for what I’ve been blessed with in this life and I find it only fair to share it with others. Given the opportunity to embark on this trip, I feel as though it’s the first big step for me in becoming a better version of myself in the future. This Lehman L.I.F.E trip will be a gateway for me to better understand a healthcare system apart from my own. Therefore, making it easier for me to understand patients of different backgrounds when it becomes my time to become a doctor God willing.
