Volunteer Activity Message

Project Z is a 7-day trip to Honduras in which DePaul's Global Architecture Brigade will be finishing the construction of a K-12 school in the impoverished but spirited community of Zurzular. The children in this remote village do not have access to education past the 6th grade because the nearest high school is many miles away and there is no readily available mode of transportation.

When DePaul's Global Water Brigade went to finish the water system in Zurzular, we spent a week talking with the community members and found that they wanted their children to be able to get a high-school education, but simply didn't have a nearby school.

The Architecture Brigade will consist of 20-40 DePaul students who will work alongside the community of Zurzular.
