Passionate About:

For all of those who know me and for those new who don't, I have been passionate about medicine and changing the face of healthcare ever since I was 3. Some may call me crazy or overly ambitious, but facing hundreds of individuals who simply do not have access to basic healthcare helps motivate me to do what I love to do and become what I want to become. Last year, my dreams were fulfilled as we traveled to Ghana, Africa and helped a community of over 1000 individuals who changed my life in the most inspirational and humble way possible. This year as we gear up to travel to new territory, I plan on giving the same healthcare, reassurance, and first aid to those in need. A dream turned into reality that soon became my life's passion. Seeing the looks on each individuals faces as you cared for them is an experience that will truly stay with me forever. So as family members, friends, acquaintances, and those unknown to me, please help me continue living out this absolutely incredible dream and support the cause.

About Us

St. John's University is a chapter of Global Medical Brigades, an international movement of students and medical professionals working alongside local communities and staff to implement sustainable health systems. We work in remote, rural, and under resourced communities in Honduras, Panama, Nicaragua and Ghana who would otherwise have limited to no access to health care. Each community receives a brigade every 3 to 4 months where hundreds of patients are provided access to healthcare and volunteers deliver public health workshops. Electronic patient records are collected for future visitations and to monitor overall community health trends. nnIn conjunction with our Medical Program, Global Brigades also supports communities with economic development, sanitation and clean water projects, and uniquely implements these programs in a holistic model to meet a community’s health and economic goals. Our model systematically builds community ownership and collaboratively executes programs with the end goal of sustainably evolving to a relationship of impact monitoring.
