During this weeklong medical mission trip in Honduras, volunteers come together to perform life-changing surgeries and provide essential primary care. While the local staff leads the surgery center that serves patients on a daily basis, medical mission volunteers serve as catalysts to educate, expand our impact and provide an extension into specialty services. The health of Honduran people is defined by widespread poverty, violence, political instability and lack of adequate social resources.
