A few weeks ago, I thought that the only big event that would be taking place in June would be my move to Duluth, MN to begin the DPT program at the College of St. Scholastica. However, before I make my move to the north, I'll be taking a detour south...to Nicaragua! I will be making my first trip out of the US to Nicaragua as part of the Athletico Medical Brigade.

I'm very excited for the opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture and be able to do something I am passionate about: help others. I believe that the people I meet throughout my life will teach me more than I could ever learn by teaching myself, and so I expect to leave Nicaragua as a better-educated individual, not only about the healthcare system of Nicaragua, but of the culture, people, and I also expect to learn a lot about myself.

I have a fundraising goal of $1,740 for my medical brigade trip, and I greatly, greatly appreciate any contribution you may be able to make towards my goal; every dollar gets me a dollar closer to getting to Nicaragua.
