Dear Family and Friends,
This summer I will be joining Foothill’s Medical, Dental, and Public Health Brigade in Panama to provide care for thousands of people in need! A small donation to this can make a big impact.
In fact, your donation will go right into providing lifesaving medications, vital medical attention and dental procedures, prescription eye wear, as well as supplies to improve the homes and lives of a community in need!
Many of these individuals are living with unimaginable pain, infections, and untreated diseases, and these brigades offer them their only source of relief. For 4 days I will personally be working with a team of dental hygiene students to provide therapeutic deep cleanings, as well as education on oral hygiene. For the last 3 days we will help to improve the health of a community by placing proper sanitary sewage systems, paving the dirt floors of homes with cement, and building efficient, well-ventilated wood burning stoves. All of these seemingly small improvements make a huge difference in the lives and overall health of these families and their communities.
