I am so immensely excited about going on this trip and not only experiencing the amazing culture of Ecuador and meeting the wonderful people who live there, but also getting the chance to affect a positive change in their environment by reforesting the area. This trip and others like it are so incredibly important in helping to rehabilitate an environment that has been heavily damaged by human actions, so that we can preserve the rich and biodiverse areas of Ecuador that have more importance and purpose than simply providing humans with wood and resources.
