Volunteer Activity Message

25 – 30 G3B participants will travel to the islands of Panama, where they will work with the Kuna Yala Comarca tribe to help develop a sustainable plan to leverage the local island tourism market. Participants will enhance their teamwork and problem solving skills while helping to educate the Kuna Yala community on core business concepts such as profit, supply / demand, and pricing. The group will also have the opportunity to learn about the Panama market, Kuna Yala culture, and business and social challenges in developing communities through pre-trip workshops and our time on-site. Participants will be on the ground in Panama for 4 full days, with a jam packed itinerary:

- Wednesday evening: Arrive in Panama City, Panama and stay for the night
- Thursday morning: Travel to the islands of Panama via plane and boat
- Thursday afternoon through Sunday morning: Tackle the business development challenge that is the focal point of the trip. Additionally, participate in a number of cultural activities, including a welcome ceremony, dinner with tribe families, and soccer and/or volleyball matches with the village children.
- Sunday afternoon: TBD recreational activity, to be voted on by the trip participants
- Sunday evening: Fly back to Panama City, Panama and stay for the night
- Monday morning: Depart for home or client site

We will update this site with additional details on the project we will be tackling in Panama, trip logistics, etc. throughout the course of our planning, so be sure to check back throughout April and May!
