I am currently studying to become a medical assistant with the aim of pursuing my BSN in the future. I believe that access to quality medical services and healthcare is a basic human right. Disease due to malnutrition, lack of access to clean water, and unhygienic living conditions is inexcusable considering the knowledge and resources available to developed countries, and I hope to participate in lowering the prevalence of these preventable ailments and, subsequently, deaths, through Global Brigades.
