Pediatric pain management is my dream— helping people is my passion. Growing up in an area with a large Spanish-speaking population, learning Spanish has always been a priority. I never knew the language would play such a prominent role in my future career and open so many doors to help people through medicine. Two years ago I began my journey with medical Spanish during a 2-month, medical study abroad in Chile. I was finally able to formally communicate with Spanish-speaking patients, which was a truly life-changing experience. I look forward to applying my medical Spanish training by volunteering this summer in Honduras! Please help me reach my goal; any support would be appreciated, and every little bit helps!

Global Brigades USA is the world's largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization. Our mission is to empower volunteers and under-resourced communities to resolve global health and economic disparities and inspire all involved to collaboratively work towards an equal world.
