Volunteer Activity Description

End Date: Apr 10, 2016 11:00 PM

TRAVEL.
Traveling with GSE involves everything from visiting the biodiverse rainforest in Panama to seeing the Panama Canal. Students enjoy authentic cuisine and collaborate on local projects in collaboration with Earth Train.

LEARN.
GSE uses hands-on service-learning projects and cultural exchanges to provide students with life changing learning opportunities. Students develop ecological literacy and participate in grassroots international relations while building crucial 21st century skills such as communication and collaboration.

IMPACT.
This will be GSE's pilot trip to Panama. Therefore students will have the opportunity to participate in building stronger local partnerships, break ground on the first school garden projects in the community of Margaritas, and work with local students to reforest trees at the Manabi reserve in Panama's rainforest.

GROW.
Plants aren’t the only things that grow! International travel facilitates profound transformation for students. Students leave the trip with a better understanding of different cultures and people, inspiring them to become change makers and leaders in their own community.
