I am very interested in Medicine and am looking do distinquish and diversify myself. I am an Eagle Scout with extensive backcountry wilderness expiriance including backpacking in New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming. As and Eagle Scout i have had intensive first aid training through the BSA and Red Cross. I am very dedicated helping people and spreading knowledge.

May 2011 Missouri Medical Brigade

Volunteer Activity Description

Medical Brigade volunteers set up medical clinics in pre-identified communities to provide healthcare where access is limited. Each community receives a brigade every 3-4 months and between brigades the in-country team maintains relationships with the communities to provide follow-up and conducts community health worker trainings to empower local leaders to perpetuate a consistent level of healthcare.
