Chemistry Beaker and Chalkboard Mugs

Global Environmental Brigades (GEB) is a secular, socially conscious network of volunteers that travel to developing countries to mitigate ecological degradation and develop sustainable environmental practices. GEB is currently working in Panama, one of the world’s most biodiverse regions, and also home to many groups of indigenous people who have directly lived off the land for centuries.

In addition to the GEB is our newly established Human Rights chapter. We plan on bringing equality and legal knowledge to the people residing in rural Panama. Families who are not aware of their rights as citizens of Panama can have their homes and land stripped away from them at any time from their government.

That is why Global Brigades Human Rights (GBHR) strives for a sustainable practice, to educate adults and children in Panama what rights they have. GBHR is going to be the LARGEST student-led organization to enter Panama, and it is an honor to begin that journey here at UCSD.
