Construction Service trip to Peru

We are forming a student group called a WAVES Corps at Cal Poly that is taking a trip to Peru to assist in the construction of a community surf center.

The center is part of WAVES for Development, a US, Swiss and Peru based 501c3. Learn more about WAVES at the website www.wavesfordevelopment.org

The center will house WAVES' surf retail location which employs local youth, a business incubation program, a food service training program and provide a meeting area for the community.

The building is being built utilizing earthbag construction, a sustainable, safe, and cost effective method of building. Part of the construction process will be to teach locals how to build with earthbags to improve their own living structures.
