Helping others has been my true passion since I was just a little girl. With choosing Recreational Therapy as my anticipated profession, I have the opportunity to turn my passion into a career. By becoming a recreational therapist, I will have the ability to touch the lives of many individuals worldwide. By attending the mission trip to Honduras with Global Medical Brigades, last year made it all so clear to me; I am well on the right track with my career choice. I cannot wait to experience my second mission trip with GMB in Nicaragua.

Volunteer Activity Message

Real world medical experience. Real world change. The University of Toledo chapter of Global Medical Brigades will be participating in a week-long brigade in Honduras over winter break. During a Medical Brigade, volunteers have the opportunity to take vitals and patient history in triage, shadow licensed doctors in medical consultations, and assist in a pharmacy under the direction of licensed pharmacists.
