Disaster Relief in Asaman

Fundraising Campaign Description

End Date: May 1, 2014 12:00 AM

On April 3, 2014, one of our new community partners, Asaman, suffered through a horrible storm resulting in more than 50 people displaced from their homes. The total wreckage of the storm has yet to be calculated, but about 50 homes either had their roofs blown off or otherwise endured significant structural damage to the home.

Currently, displaced families are being housed in local schools and are in need of supplies and food. In the sake of urgency, we are requesting $5,000 to help with the immediate needs of the displaced families and approval of the expansion of Architecture Brigades in Ghana (though the Association) this weekend to help with the long-term recovery efforts.
