I am passionate about helping people feel become more confident through their smile especially to the less fortunate. During my time in Peru, my dream of allowing more people the opportunity of oral care will come true. This internship will not only creates awareness of how healthcare situations are in different parts of the world, but also in general, how the US compares to other countries. The money raised will go towards funding a trip to shadow dental professionals, work side by side with experienced local dentists, take patient history, and learning more about basic procedures such as extractions, fillings, and x-rays. Most importantly, the fundraised money goes primarily towards allowing families to be able to feel confident and healthy in regards to their oral health.
