Hey guys,

In the upcoming month I'm going to be volunteering for a project in Nepal, Conscious Impact, which I have started a fundraiser for. I set my goal on $750 and right now I'm already a quarter there. I have 5 days left to reach this target and that's where you guys come in...

But first, some more information! Takura, a village north of Kathmandu, was heavily impacted by the April 2015 earthquake. All but one of the 245 homes in the village were destroyed. Right now permanent structures still need to be rebuilt. This is the goal of the organization Conscious Impact. Working with the local community, they strive to rebuild sustainable schools and houses using Compressed Stabilized Earthblocks (which are made of natural materials and a small percentage of cement). This has been accompanied by an educational programme and an agricultural project, providing long-term income for the local community.

The sustainable way in which Conscious Impact works and their 'power to the people' mentality made me very enthusiastic for this project!Hopefully I made you enthusiastic as well. A donation would be highly appreciated, but no obligations there ;)
