As a pre-med student, I am really interested in healthcare and, through my experience volunteering in West Philadelphia schools, I have also discovered my passion for service. This trip would give me the opportunity to do both. Thus from my experience with Global Brigades, I would hope to gain cultural awareness and an opportunity to do service in the healthcare field that could create meaningful change.
