Passionate About:

I strive to make a difference on a local and global scale! The Spanish speaking culture has always interested me, and I look forward to making a difference in anyway I can by helping communities in Honduras gain financial literacy and a long term financial mindset. Any donation to my cause would be a blessing! Thanks so much for visiting my page!

St. Louis University Microfinance Brigade January 2016 Honduras

Gina's Message

The mission of Global Brigades’ Mission is to empower volunteers to facilitate sustainable solutions in under resourced communities. Their vision is to improve equality of life, by igniting the largest student-led social responsibility movement on the planet. Through this Global Brigade to Honduras, I hope to develop and practice my own personal mission of making a difference on a local and global scale. So one might ask, “Why Honduras?” On average, the typical family lives on less than $2 a day, the average level of education is approximately 5th grade, and there is virtually no financial infrastructure. I have been blessed enough to live a life not knowing what true need is, unlike the communities in Honduras. It is our responsibility to give back in any way we can, and this mission is the perfect way to combine the business skills I have acquired at Saint Louis University and the service Honduras needs.

Volunteer Activity Description

Fundraise with your Global Business Brigades chapter on campus to meet the minimum $1,500 USD annual chapter contribution.

The annual chapter contribution directly supports the Community Investment Fund, which enables year-round economic development in partner communities carried out by our local teams. The Community Investment Fund is a critical component to GB’s Sustainable Transition Plan. Once a partner community has met specific health and economic development goals and brigades are no longer necessary, GB transitions projects fully to the community and offers follow-up with our local staff.

The more you fundraise, the more impact we make together!

BUSINESS Suggested donation amount: $25
On average, $25 provides a micro-loan to increase one family’s income potential.
