Public health. Following college, I hope to persue a masters in public health with an emphasis on educating people about healthy living and nutrition. I have found over the last few years through following a well balanced lifestyle of eating healthy and exercising that this is something I'm passionate about. I want everyone in the world to be able to have the quality of life that I am able to through taking good care of my body. The obesity epidemic within the United States is growing at an exponential rate and I hope to be able to help educate people about healthy lifestyle choices in order to help people avoid obesity. Although I want to persue work in the United States after college, I think this trip to Honduras will be an amazing experience. 40% of people in the country do not have access to clean water and through this project along with other volunteers we will help to give communities clean water, cement rather than dirt floors, latrines and showers. My goal is to make an impact in improving people's health whether it be in the US or abroad. I believe access to clean water and resources to live a healthy life should be attainable by every person in this world and this trip will give me a chance to make an impact even if it is only in one communities life's.
