Through my commitment to people, service and women – I strive to achieve a higher education that allows me to provide for underprivileged human beings in the medical field while continuing my involvement in humanitarian service to seek equality for misrepresented communities. Everything that my I strive to embody in my life and future endeavors is encompassed in the opportunities this trip provides for me. I believe the only way to live is by serving, and I am more than grateful to be able to execute this belief through Global Brigades. Join me on my journey to Honduras to do my part in making this world a safer place, because not everyone is fortunate enough to have the medical resources we do in this country. Volunteer Activity Message

Global Brigades offers 7-9 day Medical Brigades throughout the year in Honduras, Panama, Ghana, Guatemala and Greece. During a Medical Brigade, volunteers have the opportunity to take vitals and patient history in triage, shadow licensed doctors in medical consultations, and assist in a pharmacy under the direction of licensed pharmacists. Each of our partner communities receives a brigade approximately twice a year. Between brigades, our in-country team maintains relationships with the communities to provide follow-up and to conduct Community Health Worker (CHW) trainings to empower local leaders to sustain a consistent level of healthcare. Electronic patient records are collected for future visitations and to monitor overall community health trends.
