Thank you for finding my fundraising page for Rebuilding Nepal. My goal is to join the rebuilding effort in the rural village of Takure in Nepal that lost 96% of its buildings including 244 homes to the April 2015 earthquake. I have been inspired by a friend currently in place in the village to unite with the not for profit organization, Conscious Impact, and the Takure community. They are helping to introduce sustainable building techniques that are earthquake resistant and based from natural resources. Also in place in the community is a developing agriculture team and an education program that visits local primary schools providing supplemental education. I will be able to take part in working with any and all of these projects including developing permaculture and rainwater catchment systems, compressed earth brick making and rammed earth construction methods with Back to Earth builders. In order to do this right I would like to raise at least $650 for food supplies and shelter, these funds are distributed amongst the volunteers of the organization and donating through this website ensures the money reaches the right hands and not charity CEOs. Currently there are 7 of us due to arrive by February 1st. Please help me to achieve my dream of experiencing the rich culture of Nepal, engaging with it’s communities, and providing relief aid to this devastated region.
