Dear Friends and Family,

I have an amazing opportunity to go to Boaco, Nicaragua in November with an organization called GSE. GSE is the Global Student Embassy which empowers young leaders to become environmental stewards, social innovators, and community leaders. This trip is full of amazing opportunities to work with other students from Nicaragua to expand the existing organic garden that serves as an educational space to help students address real world concerns and develop real-world skills. GSE garden projects provide a tangible, project-based focus through which we are taught the leadership, communication, technical, and advocacy skills needed to be leaders in our local community.

I tried to sign up for this trip in November but was wait listed. Last week GSE emailed me to let me know a spot has opened up. Now I have a very short amount of time to earn the money required to go. While my parents are paying a large part of this I wanted to try to raise and/or earn some of it myself.
