Passionate About:

My name is Jessica Mayhew and I am a junior at Central Michigan University. Raised an only child in Holly, MI, I am a small town girl with big dreams. I have a passion for the Spanish language and am pursuing a Bachelors of Science Degree in Spanish K12 Education with an English minor. My career goal is to become a Spanish teacher, or even possibly an English teacher in a Spanish-speaking country. In my free time I enjoy hiking, fishing, swimming, traveling, spending time with my family and friends, as well as volunteering. Here at CMU, I am involved with an organization called Global Brigades. I currently serve as the President for the Global Water Brigade that departs for rural Honduras next spring, to provide clean, potable, and accessible drinking water to hundreds of families in the community. I served on 2016's brigade as a participant and 2017's brigade as Secretary. As the new president of CMU's chapter I hope get more students involved with this amazing organization.
