Dear Family and Friends,

God is awesome in giving us summer time when we have no school, take family vacations, go to the beach, and enjoy the sun and the long days. He is also good in giving 13 of us from West Houston Chinese Church a heart to use part of this summer for Him.

We are thrilled to participate in Taiwan Short Term Mission (STM) between May 30 and June 7, 2015. We will be sharing a few ministries with the locals when we are in Ping Tung. The ministries include gospel sharing with patients in the local hospital, English class teaching for High school students, music ministry to local churches. Specifically, we feel called to go this year because God has been so good to us and blessing our family beyond words. We have a deep desire in our heart to share the love and grace of Christ with others.

We would like to ask you to consider being part of this team through financial support and prayers. As members of this mission team, we need to raise approximately $650 per person / $1300 per couple. We will pool our resources together to help one another and will also request additional funds from our personal networks. More importantly, we would like to seek your support through your prayers. Many of us are going through times of busyness, stress, uncertainty, etc., that can distract our joy and focus on this mission trip. Your prayers can be our fuel to remind us during our month-long preparation and our trip that He is worthy of our service:

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7)

Here are some of our prayer requests:

• For Mark and Joey to remember the joy and focus for this mission trip
• For Him to provide us with good time management, preparation, and rest given our other responsibilities
• For the people in Ping Tung who we will meet to have open hearts and minds and a willingness to know Jesus.
• For safe travel, good health and protection for everyone during the trip
• For team unity, a unity of purpose, and a unity in His Spirit, especially when situations get stressful
• For Him to work in us and for us to surrender, whether it be going out of our comfort zone or being patient in Him.
• Grandparents will be taking care of MJ and JJ during our mission trip. Please pray for energy and patient for them, and also MJ and JJ’s understanding and peace of mind.
