Hello Everyone :) I have exciting news to share. I have been chosen to participate in the 1st ever all women Optum Women LEAD / One World Surgery medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic this July. I will be part of a team who will setup and staff Primary Care clinics, allowing us to serve the people of the Dominican Republic who may not have access to medical care. The clinics will be set up in the local bateys each day. The fundraising I am seeking is to cover the flight costs.
I was called to this trip to use my gifts as a nurse. One of my biggest dreams was to share my skills and heart with others across the world. This opportunity fulfills that dream. I couldn't be more appreciative for all who are helping it become a reality.
For those don't know me, I love to serve others, to meet their needs with the abilities, talents and opportunities I have been given. Each of us has unique talents and gifts that are meant to be shared with others across our community and the world. I have a heart for children and missions. I never dreamed of myself as someone who can impact the life of another person, especially a stranger. Yet there are so many stories of how serving others has changed my life for the better. Those who serve also receive in abundance :) Thank you for being here. If you are not able to aid financially, no worries at all. I would ask that you begin praying and continue to pray for all those traveling and those we will meet along the way.
