  Make the Change is a program started by Cassie Laurenzo as a result of a spur of the moment, solo trip to Ghana at the age of 21. The following year, she returned to assess 22 rural villages and gather data for Global Brigades, a non profit she has worked with for many years, to see about expanding their programs to the country. To date, she has provided much needed educational supplies, granted nearly 100 scholarships and provided aid in repairing and building two different school blocks.
  
  Her partnership with Global Brigades USA has proven to be a vital partnership in reaching her goals. Global Brigades USA is the world's largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization. Their mission is to empower volunteers to facilitate sustainable solutions in under resourced communities while fostering local cultures. Since 2005, more than 5,000 volunteers from 110 university groups have traveled to implement their nine skill-based programs to benefit more than 100,000 Honduran, Panamanian, and Ghanaian community members.
