I am currently a per diem registered nurse working weekends in a critical care unit, a full time graduate student pursuing a career as a primary care Family Nurse Practitioner. Better Healthcare has always been a passion of mine. I think that medical mission is an experience I will truly gain something from and cherish as a healthcare provider. I believe that our patients are our greatest teachers. I know that all throughout the world, people have different struggles and challenges in health, but they are all equally important as we are a part of one big global health community. Going to Honduras will make me see and experience how healthcare is delivered in another part of the world. I believe that I will gain something valuable in this experience that will benefit myself as a future primary care provider and to all the patients that I will take care of in the future.
