VAW at Rice, Medical Outreach Trip-Guatemala, Summer 2015

Marisa's Message

Hello friends, family, and generous contributors! This trip is a fantastic opportunity for me to help patients, use my Spanish, immerse myself in a new culture, and discover new medical interests. I am thrilled to be going this summer, but I need a little bit of help before I can get there! If you are able to donate even $5 or $10, I would be extremely grateful. Volunteer Activity Description

Join the Rice University chapter of VAW as we travel on a Medical Outreach trip to San Pedro la Laguna, Guatemala this upcoming summer! Volunteers will work in mobile medical clinics, where they will have the opportunity to intake patients, conduct public health surveys, take vitals, shadow local physicians, work in the pharmacy, teach education classes, and much more!
