About Us

The North Carolina State University chapter of VAW Global Health Alliances (VAW Global) consists of students that are enthusiastic and committed about addressing the health disparities that currently exist in developing countries. Through close collaboration with the organization VAW Global, our club at North Carolina State University strives towards providing rural communities in developing countries access towards nutritional security, clean water, and health education.

Upcoming Initiatives

North Carolina State University Global Health Internship to Guatemala, May 2025

 Join the North Carolina State University chapter as they lead a Global Health Outreach Internship in Guatemala this upcoming Summer! interns will work for one week with families in communities to implement and build sustainable healthy living solutions such as compost boxes, recycled water and water filtration systems, family gardens, and latrines. It is a truly unique experience that allows you to work on a sustainable project while being immersed in a foreign culture. If you’re interested in joining, contact us for more information! VAW Global at North Carolina State University will be working with families to implement sustainable, healthy living solutions in local communities during their time in Guatemala. **Note: Airfare is NOT included
