Michaela Marr
California State University ChicoPassionate About:
Hi everyone! I am a sophomore at Chico State, majoring in Physical and Environmental Geography. I am passionate about sailing, rowing, golfing, hiking, and of course nature:) This winter break I will be volunteering with the Chico State Global Student Embassy in Ecuador, working on reforestation to preserve the beautiful yet fragile Ecuadorian forests that are at great risk of being destroyed. My team and I will also be working on local projects to promote sustainability practices, rebuilding homes that were devastated in the recent earthquake, and building lifelong leadership skills with other students. My hope is that your concern for the rapid Ecuadorian deforestation can play a part in helping the work being done to decrease it. No matter how small, your generosity is immensely appreciated and WILL make a difference in helping us to do our part in saving the vulnerable forests of Ecuador. Thank You!
