Environmental Brigade volunteers develop sustainable environmental solutions to mitigate ecological degradation in bio-rich, but economically disadvantaged communities in Panama. Projects include reforestation, energy-efficient designs, environmental curriculum implementation, eco-tourism and organic agriculture extension. The brigade also collectively determines how to invest their “capital investment fund,” which is a monetary donation made to improve its environmental sustainability.
