THE STATE OF LATINA GIRLS - A DISCUSSION OF OPPORTUNITIES

Event Description/Leader Message

Event Date: Sep 25, 2014 6:30 PM

Event Description:
Join us in September as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a discussion focusing on Latina girls and young women in Minnesota. Community Partnership Director at Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys, Celina Martina, will lead the discussion on trends facing our state’s Latina population.

For nearly fifteen years, the Girl Scouts of America has formally worked to better serve Latina girls and build lasting relationships within the community. The organization has promoted recruitment and retention among Latina youth with the goal of creating a membership that reflects the demographics of communities being served.
