Passionate About:

It has always been my innate passion and desire to help those who are less fortunate. This November 2016, my classmates and I have the opportunity to travel to Ghana (Africa) for a week on a medical mission trip with Mercy College Physician Assistant Program along with Global Brigades.

While in Ghana, we will be providing high-quality medical care to underprivileged families at no cost. Most of these people will walk hours just to be seen. In order to make this trip happen, we have to fundraise a lot, all of which will go toward medical supplies, and medications, and community service projects.

Thank you in advance for your consideration and support with this effort. Any contribution, no matter how small or large, is greatly appreciated.

Ghulam's Message

Everyone,
This summer, my classmates and I will be traveling to Nicaragua for nine days on a medical mission with Global Brigades to provide free health care to underprivileged families. I would greatly appreciate any donations. Your donation will go toward medical supplies, medications, and community service projects (such as building latrines, concrete floors or any other constructions projects to improve public health).
Thank you in advance for your consideration and support with this effort.
Please feel free to share my links with others.

Volunteer Activity Description

Global Brigades offers 7-9 day Medical Brigades throughout the year in Honduras, Panama, Nicaragua and Ghana. During a Medical Brigade, volunteers have the opportunity to take vitals and patient history in triage, shadow licensed doctors in medical consultations, and assist in a pharmacy under the direction of licensed pharmacists. Each of our partner communities receives a brigade approximately twice a year. Between brigades, our in-country team maintains relationships with the communities to provide follow-up and to conduct Community Health Worker (CHW) trainings to empower local leaders to sustain a consistent level of healthcare. Electronic patient records are collected for future visitations and to monitor overall community health trends.
