Alameda, CAPassionate About:
Hello everyone!
This summer, I’m going to Ecuador to learn about Environmental Science and sustainable gardening!
It will be great to gain first-hand experience working in the fields of South America. I’ve always loved the outdoors. I grew up camping with my family and really enjoy interacting with the world around me. It’s a great opportunity to learn about sustainable systems and reducing our carbon footprint.
Traveling to Ecuador will expand my knowledge of science and expose me to different cultures. I’m grateful to my teacher, Ms.Hoeft, who nominated me for a $500 scholarship! It motivated my family to actually apply! I am determined to be a goodwill ambassador and connect with like-minded peers! I‘m thrilled to learn more about life in South America, to work with my hands and dream of creating a better world. I’m inspired by the people who get an early start in life, and pleased to do my part to protect the planet. I am eternally grateful for this opportunity as it will expand my knowledge ever further. I’m hoping it will help me decide what to study in college.
