During their 9 days in Honduras, student leaders will experience a behind-the-scenes look at Global Brigades' holistic model. Under the mentorship of Global Brigades staff, both local and foreign, participants will learn first-hand about each of the programs currently implemented in Honduras, how they support one another, and ultimately how they contribute to the sustainable transition plan for each community. In addition to site-visits and field work, students will develop their leadership skills through evening workshops that range from discussing the complexity of international health and development work, to practical leadership strategies for managing their chapters year-round. Patricipants will construct a personal mission and vision that fosters their leadership goals. At the end of the Institute, students will receive a certificate of completion from Global Brigades' CEO.
