Hello friends and family, welcome to my Empowered page!

This is my fundraising page for the 2016 UNB Public Health Brigade. This is my fourth trip and fourth year being involved with Global Brigades, and I can honestly say I've loved every minute of it. The experiences I've had from working with Global Brigades will last a lifetime as will the knowledge gained. I can truly say that working with Global Brigades has been one of my biggest passions over the past few years. If you know me you will know how crazy I am about this program and how excited I get about the work being done. Along with making some of my dearest memories to date, making a lasting impact in someone's life and making lifelong friendships with GB staff and my fellow members, working with GB has also taught me much about myself. It is for these reasons that I am extremely thankful to have gotten the chance to work with Global Brigades for so long.

I'm such a huge supporter of Global Brigades because of their Holistic Model approach to international aid. Through Business, Medical/Dental, Engineering, Environmental, Human Rights, Microfinance, Public Health and Water Brigades, Global Brigades works to empower both volunteers and under-resourced communities to resolve global health and economic disparities. I have been lucky enough to have been involved in both Medical/Dental and Public Health Brigades. I feel grateful to have seen both sides of the two brigades, what GB is doing to help prevent common illness and inspire health education as well as seeing how to manage those illness that are already present.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen financial circumstances, I am no longer able to make the necessary payments to attend the 2016 Public Health Brigade. Anyone who knows me will know how devastating this is to me, as working with GB is one of the most important things in my life. So I am reaching out to you - friends, family and whoever has the kindness in their heart to help me along my journey to Honduras. I can't explain how much your support means to me and how much every donation matters. I am forever thankful to all that have helped me along the way!
