Passionate About:

I'm currently a senior at Western Kentucky University. In May of 2019 I will be graduating as a double major in biology and chemistry. After obtaining my bachelors degrees, I hope to attend medical school and become a pediatrician. In addition to science, I am passionate about childhood education. I strongly believe that education plays a vital role in combating global health issues and even issues closer to home (such as poverty and opioid addiction). The more educated we are, the better able we are to serve and educate others. I hope to use my time as a volunteer with Global Brigades to bring my knowledge and passion to the forefront and lend a helping-hand to those in need. I can’t wait to see what this journey has in store!

Global Brigades USA is the world's largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization. Our mission is to empower volunteers and under-resourced communities to resolve global health and economic disparities and inspire all involved to collaboratively work towards an equal world. Since 2005, more than 30,000 volunteers from 800 university groups have traveled to implement our nine skill-based programs to benefit more than 600,000 community members in Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, and Ghana.
