I am now in my senior year of college at Butler University. I am studying Health Sciences with hopes of going to medical school in the future. I am excited to share with you that I have been given the opportunity to go on a medical mission trip this May.

The Medical Outreach Internship is a two-week trip to Cusco, Peru. During my trip, I will work side by side with patients and doctors during mobile clinics, learn about common diseases and treatment courses, experience a new culture and customs, and get to explore the site’s geographical landscape. I have been blessed to have easy access to medical care my entire life, but many people across the globe are not as fortunate. This trip is extremely important to me because it will allow me to give back to a struggling community and provide basic care and medications to people in need. The past 2 years have been very difficult for everyone due to COVID, but it has been especially troublesome for underserved populations. This trip provides an excellent opportunity for me to not only develop my skills through clinical experience, but to work towards delivering better health for all.

In order for this trip to be possible, I am responsible to raise $1,995. This cost includes housing, food, transportation on site, and project materials.
